My Dad My hero

My Dad he is my hero

A very special one to call

the one and only in my life

Who helps me when I fall

He was always there to catch me

and point me the right way

but when he became very ill

I was not there

to look after you like

The way you looked after me

Please Dad dont be scared

God will show you the way

It broke my heart the day he died

I did not get to say

Just how much I loved him

but he knew that anyway

My Dad lives on inside of me

I feel him everyday

the warmth, the laughter,

is what I miss His loving bear hug

be my hero

each and every day
