Top selling item - Sandalwood powder

Sandalwood mask powder is one of the most hot selling products at Kimsherbshop.
Use your creativity to explore different ways to use sandalwood powder.
Here are some DIY methods to try out.

1) Papaya and Sandalwood powder facial mask

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of freshly mashed papaya
1 tablespoon of Sandalwood powder
Applications:Mix mashed papaya with sandalwood powder until
they blend well into a paste.Apply the paste onto your face and neck.
Leave it on for 20 minutes.Rinse it off with water.
Benefits:
The medicinal properties of sandalwood when combined with the good exfoliating properties of papaya produces a glowing and healthy skin. Papaya will help to remove dead skin cells, keeping your skin cleanse, soft and moisturised. The antioxidants in papaya control premature ageing of the skin, and thereby imparting a youthful look. On the other hand, Sandalwood is a cooling and soothing agent for the skin. It is suitable for all skin types. It also helps to fight against common skin problems such as rashes, inflammation, acne, dryness, dehydration and chapped skin.
(Please take note: Do not use this DIY recipe
if you are allergic to any of the ingredients)

2) Turmeric powder and Sandalwood powder facial mask
(Pimple treatments)

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon of Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon of Sandalwood powder

Applications:
Add a teaspoon of water to both powders to form a paste.
Blend well and apply to your pimples before bed.
A therapist recommended me to use Lavendula Vera flora water
for a better and faster result.

3) Sandalwood mask using Lavendula Vera flora water

Ingredients:
1-2 teaspoons of Sandalwood powder
Lavendula Vera flora water
Applications:

Mix well to form a smooth paste.
Apply onto face for about 20 minutes.
This method can also be used for treatment of pimples on the chest or back.

Effects of Sandalwood in aromas or incense
Sandalwood is popularly known for its calming, cooling effect for both body and mind. The scent of Sandalwood essential oil or Sandalwood incense clarifies the mind and helps to awaken intelligence, and is often used as an aid for meditation. It calms the mind, soothes stress and nervous tension, and uplifts the mood. It is said to enliven courage, purpose, strength and happiness.

How to burn Sandalwood powder:
Shape the powder slightly to form a cone shape on a porcelain saucer or any incense bowl. Use a long lighter for easy light up especially if your container is deep. Otherwise, you can use any normal lighters or matchsticks. I will prefer to use a covered incense bowl because I will keep some of the sandalwood powder ash for the next burning. I find that having the ash as a base is easier to keep the powder burning.
